History of MAR-HY DISTRIBUTORS
The company started in the 1940s as Day-York Distributors founded by Dick Day, Macey Hyde joined him soon after. In 1947 Macey became President of the company, then in 1959, he purchased the company. At that time they sold York HVAC products.
Mar-Hy started carrying the RUUD, (the best brand of gas furnaces and HVAC equipment) line in July 1985. Ruud is our primary equipment line today.
In 1962 Mar-Hy built their first property (Ochoco Street property), moving the operation from Swan Island. They continued to grow. On October 1, 1999, Mar-Hy moved to the current location on International Way.
Mar-Hy services Oregon and SW Washington territory. We have expanded our inventory to include ancillary items such as flex duct and metal products – most components and parts related to the HVAC industry. We have become a “one-stop” for our dealers.
