Macey, Owner

Macey grew up in Portland, graduating from Commerce High School (now Grover-Cleveland High School). He started with Day-York Distributors, became President in 1947 and in 1959 purchased the company. He renamed it Mar-Hy Distributors when they lines from York to Ruud. Mar-Hy is taken from his wife's name - Margaret Hyde.

Under Macey's leadership the company has grown and expanded through the years. The territory now services Oregon and SW Washington.

Macey has been very involved with his church, his family and loves to golf. He is also an avid Trail Blazers Fan. He LOVES spending time with his grandchildren.

Jan, Administrative Assistant

Jan is a friendly voice you will hear when you call Mar-Hy. She started out working part-time and soon this turned into a full-time job. She has been with us for 14 years. Jan handles dealer requests. She knows where to find the paperwork they are looking for, whether it is “pick tickets” or copies of invoices. She also processes the orders of equipment coming in from the distributors. If you want to know where to find the paperwork (invoices, orders, etc.), just ask Jan!

Jan loves to watch movies (old and current ones). Often you will find her enjoying her hobbies of cross-stitching or cooking up a favorite or new recipe. Yum!

Melinda, Office Manager

Melinda is a long-time employee of Mar-Hy, having worked here for over 20 years. She is the one who takes care of accounts receivable, accounts payable and other accounting functions.

Melinda and her husband have three boys. They are all involved with the Boy Scouts.

Mike, Driver

Mike is the friendly driver who delivers our product to the customer job sites, construction sites and to installers. He has worked with us for over a year.

A retired teamster who drove semi-trucks for many years, he enjoys working for Mar-Hy.

Mike’s other interests include riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles. He also enjoys fishing and boating in rivers, lakes and the ocean. He says that his wife always goes with him to “keep me out of trouble and catch MORE and BIGGER fish than I do.”

Jeff, D.S.C.

Jeff provides technical assistance and will visit the job sites when needed. Jeff has been with Mar-Hy for over three years. He has over 20 years experience in the heating & cooling business, having worked in all aspects of the industry. He was also a heating contractor for three years. His experience makes him a great resource for his customers as well as his fellow employees.

Jeff enjoys outdoor activities including hunting fishing, boating, and dirt biking. He is also a Washington Hunters Educational Instructor.

Jeff, VP of Operations

Jeff started with the company in 1976 running the warehouse and parts department. Through the years his responsibilities have grown and he is now the VP of Operations. In 1982 he "graduated" into sales, covering the Metro-Portland and SW Washington area. If you want to know anything about the company, he is the one to go to!

Jeff is active in his church. He also enjoys golfing, hunting birds and other outdoor activities.

Gary, Purchasing/Marketing

Gary recently joined the Mar-Hy team. He is responsible for the product lines and the marketing programs. He brings 30 years of experience in the industry with him.

In his spare time he enjoys reading and shopping for books, exploring the beach, gardening and yard care. He also enjoys taking walks with his wife and his bulldogs.

Gary ’s goal is to assist Mar-Hy and our customers to be successful and profitable.

Troy, Inside Sales Representative

Troy recently joined Mar-Hy, with 2 1/2 years industry experience. He places the equipment orders for the contractors, assisting them in a professional manner.

Troy served our country in the Navy for six years! Following that he worked in a warehouse, learning about HVAC and decided to continue his career in this growing industry. His goal is to be the best salesman in the industry that he can be!

For fun and recreation, Troy loves to watch and play football, basketball, and baseball. He especially loves to play catch with his son.

Keith, Territory Sales Manager

Keith's job is to make it easier for heating contractors to do business with Mar-Hy. He has been with the company 10 years and has a total of 21 years experience in the industry. He truly enjoys working with small business people.

One unique fact about Keith is that he runs FOUR miles every morning.

Claudel, Warehouse Manager

Claudel has been with Mar-Hy for three years. He is a graduate of Dupo High School in Dupo, Illinois. He is responsible for day-to-day operations of the warehouse staff. This includes shipping, receiving, organization and training of warehouse personnel.

He is very good at karate. He also enjoys playing basketball.

Bruce, Parts Manager

Bruce sells replacement parts and takes care of warranty issues. He grew up in a family with a plumbing supply store which helped him with his mechanical background. Bruce has eight years experience in the business and has been with Mar-Hy almost three years.

Bruce has a degree from OSU in business. He enjoys fishing, camping and generally having fun with his friends.
